The annual Iowa RP Family Camp will be held at Crooked Creek Christian Camp in Washington, Iowa from July 27-31, 2026. With camp approaching very quickly, we are greatly in need of counselors and teachers. Counselors can come to camp for free and in certain circumstances may be eligible for some reimbursement on travel expenses as well. They must be 19 years or older and be a communicant member of an RP (or likeminded) church, and be recommended by their session as someone who would serve well as a counselor. Teachers will receive a discount when coming to camp, and are only responsible for teaching during the morning session.
Below are the current needs for counselors and teachers:
Counselors:
Cedars – Ages 9-11: Need a girl counselor
Redwoods – Ages 12-14: Need a boy counselor
Hickories – Ages 15 – 18ish: Need a boy counselor
Teachers:
Oaks – Ages 0-3 (no lesson needed)
Maples – Ages 7-8
Redwoods – Ages 12-14 (discussion leader only needed)

Camp is filled with a lot of fun, but lots of spiritual growth and formation also takes place during the week, especially in the youth cabins. This is a great opportunity to serve for college kids who have summer availability, or even for retired folks who have a more flexible schedule.
