The Reformed Presbyterian Global Alliance (RPGA) is a consultative community of Reformed Presbyterian Churches worldwide. Formed in June 2015 by the RP Churches of Australia (RPCA), Ireland (RPCI), North America (RPCNA), and Scotland (RPCS), it also represents the RP Churches in Canada and Japan which are currently part of the RPCNA. The RP Global Alliance has a confessional foundation and provides a forum for co-operation between the member RP churches in mutually agreed areas.

The RPGA Advisory Committee administers the affairs of the Alliance’s work. This Committee comprises two appointed representatives from the RP Churches of North America and Ireland and one appointed representative from the RP Church of Australia and Scotland. The current representatives are:

  • Rev. Dr. Andrew Stewart (RPCA)
  • Rev. Matt Kingswood (RPCC)
  • Rev. Dr Andrew Quigley (RPCC, Chairman)
  • Rev. Philip Dunwoody (RPCI, Secretary)
  • Rev. Robert McCollum (RPCI)
  • Rev. Kyle Borg (RPCNA)
  • Rev. Nathan Eshelman (RPCNA)
  • Rev. Yusuke Hirata (RPCNA)
  • Rev. Stephen Steele (RPCS)

The goal of the RP Global Alliance is to work together in order to better utilise the resources already existing within the worldwide RP Church, in the fulfilment of our collective God-given responsibilities. It also provides a means by which other Presbyterian and Reformed churches in the world can access this worldwide Reformed Presbyterian community, a community which in the providence of God has been a part of the visible Church for the past 300 years. Churches seeking to become members of the RPGA can do so by submission to the RPGA’s doctrinal constitution through the recommendation of two existing member RP Churches.

The RPGA Advisory Committee meets regularly through use of online technology and has one face to face meeting per year, to promote and facilitate the work of the alliance. It seeks to identify areas of potential co-operation and draw together office bearers from the member churches to undertake work in ‘Working Groups’.

The Advisory Committee also oversees the management of a website, a Facebook page, and an email newsletter through which individuals can be kept informed of upcoming events, news items, and prayer requests from across the worldwide RP church. It seeks to promote and increase awareness of member churches and the ministries they are involved in. This includes promoting Reformed doctrine through providing easy access to online sermons, blogs, articles and Bible reading notes by Reformed pastors.
