On the 13th of January 2021 a Commission of the Eastern Presbytery (RPCI) met via zoom along with members and friends of Lisburn Congregation to install Rev. Robert M. McCollum as the new minister of our Congregation.

Rev. Nathan Hawthorne, Moderator of Presbytery, opened the meeting with general remarks, a hearty welcome to the minister and his family as well as thanksgiving to the Lord.

Rev. Nigel Agnew (Moderator of Synod) brought the Greetings of Synod and read from Ephesian 1: 11-23. Rev. David McCollough (Woodstock RP) then brought a message from Ephesians 1: 22-23 on the Reign and Rule of Jesus Christ.

Rev. Prof. Warren Peel (Trinity RPC) outlined the distinctives of the Reformed Presbyterian Church. All spoke to encourage and warn both congregation and Pastor of our duty and blessed privilege to serve the Lord and each other in accordance with his revealed Word. Rev. McCollum gave his assent to the prescribed questions, after which Rev. Peel led in the Installation prayer.

Lisburn Congregation feel greatly blessed and thankful to God for the gift of a Pastor. We take this opportunity to send sincere gratitude to the all the men who have preached to us during the vacancy and a special thanks to Rev. John Hawthorne for his attentive shepherding work as Interim Moderator.
