Matt Kingswood is the pastor of the Russell Reformed Presbyterian Church. After marrying Tara in 1991, Matt studied Classics at Carleton University (B.A.) in Ottawa. He then received his theological training at Ottawa Theological Hall and Knox Theological Seminary in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (M. Div.). His pastoral internship was served at Trinity Reformed Presbyterian Church in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Matt and Tara worshipped with the Ottawa RPC during their university and seminary days. In the autumn of 1997, a small bible study group in Russell was organized as a mission church of the RPCNA, and the congregation called Matt to serve as teaching elder. Matt has served on the Advisory Committee of RP Global Alliance since its inception.
