During the 5th to the 8th of July, the annual RPCA youth camp was once again held at Dixons Creek. This year just a little under 30 youths attended the camp, which was led by James Ellery (Geelong RPC), the camp organizer, and 6 other leaders as well as a few helpers who did an amazing job at making the camp as fun as it was.

On the first day, we started with some Ice breaker games. One of those games was a ball game where you called out a person’s name and threw the ball to them until everyone’s name was called out, it later became a way to roll call to make sure everyone was present. On the same day, we also split up into our activity/duty groups to create a group name. (flaming gumnuts, the killdeers, soap suds, Buddy rich and Fire hawks)

The study this year was about our identity as a disciple of Jesus. Brandon Fisher (McKinnon RPC) led the studies. We learnt the following about Discipleship:
- What a disciple is
- God’s being and what he is doing and how that leads to the cross
- How that leads to our being, and what we should be doing in relation to that.

There were many highlights this year. Some notable ones were the art led by Adele and Megan Fisher (McKinnon RPC), which we made with the flowers collected during the bush walk with Josh Feldman. The artwork is now hanging in the hall at our Dixons Creek camp! The trivia is another highlight mainly hosted by Macey Feldman (Geelong RPC), the youth were encouraged to come up with trivia questions to share on the night, the questions ranged from sports, music, countries and even bible questions as well as an interactive one.

Ultimately, Youth Camp 2024 was a success! It was a valuable time to build on our understanding of God and be able to build on our relationship with him as well as with other youths.
