Ballylaggan RP Church held a Bible Club on 26th – 29th June 2023 with an average of 42 children attending each night from the local area.

With the coronation of King Charles still fresh in our minds, we choose the theme of ‘Royalty’. ‘For Christs’ crown and covenant’ reminds us that Jesus is the true king and over the week we showed that even though royals Saul, Esther, Solomon and David were good (at times) they were not perfect. Only Jesus is the perfect King we need in our lives.

Psalm singing is always a hit with the kids, with ‘from the rising of the sun’ being a real favourite! The children loved the crafts, with the decorating of biscuits shaped like crowns, making castles, and crown coasters.

We finished the 4 nights with hot dogs and ice cream and it was great to see the kids able to recite the memory verse from Psalm 47 v7-9 to their parents with ease.

We thank God for the dry weather just when we needed it to get out a play games on the grass. We are thankful to the congregation for their teamwork and to the 3 Go-team members who came to help us, Lois, Labhaoise and Eleanor.

‘For God is King of all the Earth, Sing praises with a psalm.’

Psalm 47 v7
