The final day of the 2022 meeting of the Synod of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Ireland was spent reviewing the wider work of the denominations committees, like the Covenanter Book Shop, Congregational Aid, Instruction of the Young, Covenanter Youth and other committees whose quiet work is vital to the health of the denomination.
There was discussion about how to help equip elders to lead worship services when a pastor was away or ill, and the Reformed Theological College plans to run a series of classes in the future.

The climax of the Synod was a service of Covenant Renewal, where the church’s leaders renewed their own covenant response to God’s Covenant of Grace. The last time this happened was in 1990, and God willing it will ripple out across the congregations in the Autumn of this year.
