This year, Iowa Family Camp runs from August 2 -6. With just one week left for registration, we are in need of the following:
Boys and Girls Counselors: You’ll have the opportunity to encourage youth throughout the week, be able to sit in on the adult talks & discussions, lead devotions with your cabin, help your cabin get to their places (including bed) on time, and *attend camp free*!
Oaks Coordinator: You’ll have the opportunity to encourage children ages 0-3 for two and 1/4 hours per day (during the main talk and discussion times) throughout the week, give parents a break, and receive a *$150 discount* on your camp fees. You may divide up the time as you see best with story, ‘worksheets’, songs, crafts, memory work, etc. Some toys will be provided but you may bring your favorites too. Parents will be encouraged to sign up to help in this nursery. The camp will also cover supplies needed within reason. Snacks will be provided unless you find it easier to do this yourself and submit the bill. Parents and others are encouraged to volunteer an hour or two during the week to help you.
Firs Teacher: You’ll have the opportunity to encourage children ages 4-6 for two and 1/4 hours per day (during the main talk and discussion times) throughout the week, choose your curriculum (if possible, choose something that will help the kids understand our adoption by God), You may divide up the time as you see best with story, ‘worksheets’, songs, crafts, memory work, etc., and receive a *$150 discount* on your camp fees. The camp will
also cover supplies needed within reason. Snacks will be provided unless you find it easier to do this yourself and submit the bill.
Maples Teacher: You’ll have the opportunity to encourage children age 7-8 for one hour per day (during the main talk) throughout the week, choose your curriculum (if possible, choose something that will help the kids understand our adoption by God), and receive a *$100 discount* on your camp fees. The camp will also cover supplies needed within reason.
Craft Leader: You’ll have the opportunity to encourage youth ages 7-11 for one hour per day (after the main talk time) throughout the week by helping them make crafts of your choosing. You will receive a *$50 discount* on your camp fees. The camp will reimburse expenses within reason.
Volunteer Redwood Discussion Leader(s): You’ll have the opportunity to encourage youth ages 12-14 for one hour per day after the main talk, discussion questions will be provided.
Volunteer Hickory Discussion Leader(s): You’ll have the opportunity to encourage youth ages 15-18 for one hour per day after the main talk, discussion questions will be provided.
Other Volunteers: You’ll have the opportunity to encourage people of all ages for the time of your choosing. Opportunities include experienced canoeist, meal prep, dishwashing, Oaks/Nursery helper, Firs Helper, Crafts
helper, Nurse helper, and more.
