The Houston Outreach Committee of the Midwest Presbytery will be
conducting a worship service with several families in the southern
region of Houston, TX this coming Lord’s Day evening (October 25) at 6
PM. The service will take place in the Home 2 Suites by Hilton (Pearland).
We’ve been praying and working with a few families with the goal of establishing an RP congregation in Houston as the Lord would so bless. These families have been meeting for a weekly Bible Study for the past 1.5 years (though Covid has disrupted the regularity of their meeting in recent months).
The Committee is hosting this worship service as a way to encourage those families and garner more interest in the development of a congregation.
Please pray:
1) That the service will be glorifying to our gracious God and Lord.
2) For Pastor Bruce Parnell (Stillwater, OK) as he travels this
weekend and faithfully proclaims God’s Word at the service.
3) That there would be a good turnout of interested families and
individuals aside from the regular core group.
4) That the Lord would truly bless this work and enable plans for
future services leading to the establishment of an RP Mission Church in
Houston.
If you know of folks in the Houston area (especially those in the
southern suburbs) please pass on the information about this service. Seating will be socially distant. The wearing of masks is strongly encouraged, though not required.
