We’ve got an exciting new campaign this year for our kids. Read on to find out more and keep reading to get an update on our Student2Student campaign from last year.
Our NEW #KID2KID Campaign
We are excited to share with you our new Fall campaign which seeks again to appeal to young people. Since we have 3 missionary families with kids (Hannas, Smiths, the “B” family) we wanted to highlight the lives of Missionary Kids.
Our campaign is called Kid2Kid because we are reaching out to the children among us to support the missionary kids on the field by giving, praying, and encouraging. The campaign will run from September 15 to October 14. Look for an email in your inbox next Tuesday with more details.
We will be using all the communication tools at our disposal to get the word out but we need your help! If you are an adult we need you to communicate this upcoming campaign to your church family and help mobilize the children, youth groups, Sunday school classes, etc. to get involved. The emphasis of this campaign is to stir the hearts of kids and youth to support the missionary kids and their families. As we invest in all our children, whether in those going to the nations or in those sending them, we want the next generation to have the heart of God for the nations.
Please pray that all our children to joyfully join with God in his global mission.
Student2Student 2019 Campaign UPDATE!
You may remember the Student2Student Campaign we did in September last year. It was a great success as we both reached our goal of raising $11,000 and also mobilized many young people to give toward Bibles to students in South Sudan. The Bibles were purchased in Kampala, Uganda, and trucked up to our training center in Wanyjok.
There are two groups of people who will be benefiting from these gifts of Bibles. The students registered for the Certificate in Church Planting receive a pocket Bible to use with their training manuals. Presently, there are 296 students enrolled in 23 training centers. The Youth Bibles will be available for students who pay the membership fee for BLYCSA – Scripture Union. We anticipate distributing these Bibles to over 1600 students in over 30 schools if classes resume in 2020.
Please pray that the schools will open soon so that these bible study meetings can cover the 36 lessons before the end of the school year in December.
For Christ and his Kingdom,
