Faughan congregation gives thanks to God for the recent ordination and installation of Dr James Steele and installation of Mr Calum Morrison to the office of ruling elder.

Before their ordination and installation, the minister of the congregation, Rev. Steven Robinson, preached to the congregation from 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13, taking as the theme: A Congregational Response to Ruling Elders. Following their ordination and installation Rev. Robinson brought the charge to Dr Steele and Mr Morrison by highlighting the service of the ruling elder from 1 Peter 5:1-4.

There was a good attendance of members and visitors at this special service, and the ladies of the congregation provided a delicious after-church lunch to mark this memorable occasion.

The newly augmented Faughan Session asks for the prayers of the wider church that, as a Session, they will know God’s help and grace in working together harmoniously in shepherding the flock under their care, and that through their service they will see spiritual and numerical growth in the congregation.
