This weekend was indeed an historic weekend for the RP church worldwide. On Saturday 22nd February a commission of the Synod of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America formally established the Iglesia Presbiteriana Reformada en Chile as a mission work of our denomination!

The commission is made up of four pastors Marcelo Sánchez (Lo Prado, Chile), Mark England,  Steve Bradley and Edgar Ibarra. Rev. Mark England (San Diego RP) travelled to Chile to assist Rev. Marcelo Sánchez in proceedings. Rev Steve Bradley (Providence RP) and Edgar Ibarra joined in via video link.

Pastor Marcelo Sanchez was formally installed as his pastor and 10 people were individually interviewed before taking vows of membership. The membership vows administered by Rev. Marcelo Sánchez, and can be viewed at the following link:

The mission church will now officially be called Primera Iglesia Presbiteriana Reformada de Lo Prado.

One of those the commision interviewed and accepted into membership was Carlos Alarcón Quinteros who has also been accepted to study at RPTS.

Join us in praising God for his mighty works in this place!
