The Reformed Presbyterian Woman’s Association (Reformed Presbyterian Home) is seeking to fill the position of Director of Finance. 

The RP Home is a senior living facility on the Northside of Pittsburgh.  The campus has a 58 bed nursing unit, a 35 bed personal care unit, 9 independent apartments, and 26 HUD Section 202 apartments for the frail elderly.  The RP Home has served this community and Reformed Presbyterians from Western Pennsylvania and around the country for the past 122 years.

Required Education, Training, Experience

The Director of Finance (DOF) of the Reformed Presbyterian Woman’s
Association (RPWA) must exhibit strong ethics and high moral values, and
must embrace, affirm, and demonstrate a commitment to the RPWA Mission, Vision, and Philosophy of Care. The DOF must have a BS or BA degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field of study. A Master’s degree or CPA is preferred but not required. The DOF must have the ability to write reports and business correspondence, have effective oral and written communication skills, have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, other staff members, residents and their legally responsible designee, and have the ability to work with technical computerized data processing systems. The DOF must demonstrate knowledge of nonprofit health care finance and must possess interpersonal, communication, management, and supervisory skills. The DOF must have a detailed knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and a working knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems. A minimum of three to five years’ experience in health care financial operations is normally required.

General Responsibilities

The Director Of Finance is responsible for oversight of corporate financial
functions of the RPWA, including finance and control, cash management,
budgeting, forecasting, accounting, reimbursements, investment management, and insurance coverage.  In conjunction with the Leadership Team, the DOF is responsible for strategic financial planning for the ministries of the RPWA, and ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The DOF directs and supervises assigned personnel and is a member of the Leadership Team.  This position also includes responsibility for government mandated submission of 3rd party reimbursement cost reports, IRS 990 reports, and HUD financial reports.
