On the evening of Thursday 16th May family, friends, members of the congregation and of the Western Presbytery gathered in the Enniskillen meeting house for the ordination and installation of Mr Trevor Wills to the office of ruling elder.
Trevor is the first elder in the short history of the congregation and it was a particular delight to have two of his brothers-in-law take part in the service. Opening worship was led by Rev. Stephen Wright, Moderator of Presbytery, and Rev. Paul Wright preached from 1 Chronicles 28 v 9-10 – ‘The servant’s duties.’
Rev. Bill Matthess conducted the ordination and gave the charge to the congregation, speaking from Deuteronomy 31 v 6-8 – ‘Go with strength and courage.’
Afterwards further fellowship was enjoyed as supper was served by the ladies.
