RPTS offers certain courses, for credit and for audit, in a one-week intensive format. This May, interested folks can take Dynamics of Public Speaking, with Dr. Calvin Troup (pictured above). At the same time, Pastor Vince Ward will co-lead Theology and Method of Missions along with another veteran missionary. Both classes are offered from May 20-24.
Even seasoned public speakers have found benefit in Dr. Troup’s teaching, which helps to sharpen a presentation’s organization and move from a dependency on notes while speaking. Missions’ class participants will gain a better understanding of God’s concern for the nations woven throughout the Scriptures and of the challenges of cross-cultural communication for evangelism, church planting, and Bible translation.
Offered September 3-6, the Vital Churches course will encourage students, in a workshop format, to grow in and apply such principles as unconditional dependence upon the Holy Spirit through practicing prayer, clarifying the understanding of the role of ordained leadership, and putting into clear focus the church’s mission.
Space permitting, auditors are welcome in all of these classes. Contact Ed Blackwood for more information on these intensive courses.
