On 16th September the congregation of Dromara in County Down made a presentation to mark 10 years since Rev. Geoffrey Allen was installed as their Minister. At a short ceremony after morning worship, the Congregational Secretary, Mr Gareth Kerr, spoke of the blessing of having a faithful minister of the Gospel, noting from Ephesians 4:11-13 that our minister was a gift from Jesus Christ to His Church to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God. He referred to Rev. Allen’s diligence and humility in his work in Dromara and the wider Reformed Presbyterian Church of Ireland and stated that the congregation wished to encourage him in his work and to express thanks for his ministry among us. The Clerk of Session, Mr Gordon Bond then presented Rev. Allen with a gift and Mrs Winnie Chambers presented a bouquet of flowers to his wife Donna. Rev. Allen replied stating his surprise at receiving this presentation and that he had enjoyed his 10 years among us. He thanked the Session, Committee and congregation for their support in the work of the Gospel.
