Upon the successful completion of the 3 year theological studies course at RTC, the Northern Presbytery held a service to license Mr Peter Dundee (a member of the Cullybackey congregation).
The meeting was opened with worship by the Moderator of the Presbytery, Rev John Coates. Mr Dundee (pictured above with his daughter Ellen) gave an exposition of Psalm 78, reminding us that God is faithful to unfaithful people and has provided a Shepherd for us. Mr Dundee then preached on 1 Corinthians 1.1-9 calling on us to be thankful for God’s faithfulness in the past, in the present and into the future. Rev John Coates put the prescribed questions of licensure to the Mr Dundee and then prayed.
Rev Philip Moffett, minister of Cullybackey RP, gave the charge to Mr Dundee from 1 Corinthians 4.1-5. After the Benediction was pronounced, Mr Ivor McMullen, an elder of Cullybackey RP, brought greetings from the congregation and assured Peter of their continued love and prayerful support into the future.
Peter is currently serving on a 6 month placement in the Cloughmills congregation and will soon be available to receive a call. Please pray for Peter, and his wife Valerie, that they will know God’s leading to a place where He will have them serve.
Philip Moffett, Cullybackey RPC
