The Presbytery of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Australia met on 5 May in McKinnon for its Annual General Meeting. Brandon Fisher is an elder in the McKinnon congregation and also currently studying at the Reformed Theological College (pictured below). He is making steady progress towards being licensed as a minister of the Word. The meeting agreed that, before the end of 2018, Brandon will preach a sermon and lead a service with presbytery members present, to be evaluated by Presbytery as one of the requirements for licensing.

It is a great encouragement to the RPCA to have Brandon making progress, but at the same time we sense a real need for God to raise up more men for Word ministry. As such, the meeting agreed that sessions be asked to encourage concerted prayer for students for the ministry and for sensitivity to the leading of the Spirit in this matter, and also give appropriate teaching where needed.
