Giving Tuesday refers to the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the United States. It is a movement to create an international day of giving at the beginning of the Christmas and holiday season. Giving Tuesday was started in 2012 by the United Nations Foundation as a response to commercialism and consumerism in the post-Thanksgiving season/ run up to Christmas. It arrived in the UK in 2014 and since then, the day has gone on to become one of Britain’s biggest days for charities, raising millions of pounds for good causes. On giving Tuesday last year the world record was set for the highest number of charity donations given on line in a single day.

On the day you can choose to support any charity you want in any way you want. You choose how you want to support them. Whether you bake good stuff, make good stuff, donate good stuff, tweet good stuff or even say good stuff ‐ how you support your favourite cause is totally up to you!

RP Global Missions has one idea of how you could donate on #givingTuesday, why not help to support a missionary in a foreign country? The RP church has a work in Pakistan that needs help, and people on the field in Sudan who need support.

A quote from RP Global Missions: “We’re almost to the end of the year. In this year we have seen the Lord move in many different ways and are looking forward to the ways the Lord will advance His kingdom through our work in 2018.We haven’t yet met our financial goals for this year, so we need your help to push through to and finish strong so that we can head into the new year with all the resources we need to accomplish even more than we can imagine, to the glory of God! With your help, we can meet our 2017 financial goals and launch into 2018 fiscally healthy and able to expand the work we already have to do while leaning into the exciting new opportunities that are awaiting us.”

Keep Training $20 – provides enough for half a year of internet service so students of the Word in Pakistan can receive training. Thank you for making it possible for believing ones to hear and be trained so they can one day soon be sent. (Romans 10:14-15)

Keep Moving $50- enough to help us keep the South Sudan team’s Land Cruiser running with fuel for one month.  Thanks for helping to keep the beautiful feet of the South Sudan team on the move! (Isaiah 52:7)

Keep Caring $100- one person donating this amount each month will provide RP Global Missions with enough money to send a board member to one of our fields in order to provide essential shepherding and care for our missionaries and others working with them. Thank you for helping us shepherd the flock under our care. (Acts 20:28)

Keep Supplying $200 – one person donating this amount each month is all that is needed to pay for one of 12 months worth of RP Global Missions’ expenses in South Asia for the year. Thank you for helping to keep this Gospel work well supplied. (Philippians 4:16-18)
