Did you know there is an RP Church in Wyoming (otherwise known as the Cowboy State)? Casper RPC was planted by the RPCNA and called Pastor Sam McCracken to be their pastor 3 years ago. This past weekend they hosted a Conference on the Reformation (along with two other churches from the area). Here’s what they had to say:
“We wrapped up our first Reformation Conference today, celebrating the work God has done in and through His people since the Protestant Reformation in 1517!
2pm–Martin Luther and the Quest for a Gracious God
4pm–John Calvin and the Sum of Christian Piety
There was also time for refreshments & fellowship in between the lectures. These Saturday sessions were followed by a joint Sunday Worship Service. After worshipping together, a panel of 3 local pastors (Mark Tippin of First Presbyterian EPC, Matt Powell of Christ Reformed Church, and Sam McCracken of our own church) along with our keynote speaker, Dr Byron Curtis, held a Q&A on all things Reformation. These wise men fielded questions on the 95 theses, the uses of the law, and Luther’s view on James and Hebrews to name a few!”
