RPCNA: The Winterlude Youth Retreat is a ministry of the St. Lawrence Presbytery and is held every February in Ottawa RPC.
This year, Rev. Matt Filbert from Beaver Falls, USA, spoke on Christian Servanthood from Romans 12. The 60+ youth and leaders in attendance were encouraged to identify the gifts and skills that God has given them and to explore how these may be used within the context of their local churches and the broader denomination to further the work of the Kingdom.
All attendees enjoyed delicious meals provided by the members of the Ottawa and Russell RPCs, encouraging times of fellowship, discipleship, discussion, psalm signing and prayer. On the Saturday afternoon, the youth had the opportunity to visit Ottawa’s annual winter festival, Winterlude. Everyone enjoyed ice skating on the Rideau Canal, seeing the impressive ice sculptures and snacking on the traditional Canadian treat, Beavertails!
