Rev. Mark England of San Diego RPC, Rev. Marcelo Sánchez of Batuco, Chile (our first RP minister in Latin America), and Edgar Ibarra (a Student under care of the Presbytery of the Alleghenies) will be traveling on to Bolivia tomorrow to do a Reformation conference! These men are members of the a committee of the RPCNA Synod called Central and South America (CASA) Committee, along with Rev. Steve Bradley (Providence RP) and Rev. David Reese (Springs Reformed RP).
As we reported earlier in the month, there are three ministers in Bolivia that have come to believe in RP doctrine and distinctive principles. Late last year they formed a Presbytery and have invited the CASA Committee to come to Bolivia to give 3 days of lectures.
Rev. Mark England is travelling from Chile with Rev. Marcelo Sanchez (he had been preaching in the RPCNA mission work there where Rev Sanchez is the pastor). Meanwhile, Edgar is travelling from the USA, via Colombia, ahead of tomorrows conference. Pray for their safety as they travel.
If you want to listen in to the Lecture in Bolivia, you may do so by logging into Facebook and searching for “Iglesia Presbiteriana Reformada Gracia Soberana”. Note, ALL lectures will be in Spanish, except for Rev. England who will speak in English with Rev. Sanchez translating.
Below are the live lecture times:
On the 27th at 7.30pm (Bolivian time),
On the 28th at 4.30pm (Bolivian time),
On the 29th at 3:30pm (Bolivian time),
There is no time difference between Washington, DC, USA and Bolivia, but if you’re in the UK and want to listen in you’ll have to adjust your timings as the United Kingdom is 5 hours ahead of Bolivia!
A note from Edgar: “Thank you for your ongoing assistance financially to raise the funds to send books* to Bolivia. We praise God for the generosity of His Church! We thank you again for your ongoing prayers, letters of encouragement, and overall support. May the LORD God be glorified and His Church built up in Bolivia.”
*A Spanish Reformed Book Fund is managed by the Deacons of Edgar’s home congregation, Trinity RPC in Burtonsville, Maryland. If you would like you can contribute to this fund by sending a check or money order, with “Spanish Reformed Book Fund” in the memo to the attention of the Deacons and made out to Trinity RPC 4515 Sandy Spring Road Burtonsville, MD 20866.
